Paul MacNaughton offers lessons in piano, brass, violin and clarinet in the homes of students throughout Snohomish and North King counties.

Paul teaches students of all ages and levels of accomplishment. He combines 20 years of professional classical music experience with 35 years of private music teaching.

He focuses on bringing ease and skill into the daily experience of his students, providing them with the techniques needed to explore and discover their natural talents.

Emphasis is upon encouragement and expansion, rather than rote learning and imitation.

Paul earned his bachelor’s degree in music performance and a teaching certificate in instrumental music from the University of Washington, and attended graduate school at Indiana University.

He played French horn as a member of the San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Ballet orchestras from 1975 to 1988.

Rates per student: $25 per half hour for private lessons or $15 per half hour for small-group lessons.
